In 2002 Jocelyn birthed the first of two children, thus starting her breastfeeding journey and revealing a calling to help breastfeeding families reach their personal breastfeeding goals.
She became a WIC breastfeeding peer counselor/community health educator in 2004 where she served her multicultural community. Shortly thereafter, she attained her CLC (certified lactation counselor) certification.
Jocelyn became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2010 and has been supporting breastfeeding/chestfeeding families in hospital settings, neonatal intensive care units, birth centers, and in private practice ever since.
Jocelyn believes every mother should have the opportunity to have a lactation consultant at every step of her journey and this is why she is so thankful to be a part of Nest Collaborative.
