I thought my breastfeeding journey would end at one year, but we are still going strong at 14 mos.

What excites you most about being an IBCLC?

Seeing parents enjoy their breastfeeding journey.

Hospital, clinic, home.

What makes up your family (people & pets)?

Husband and son.

What do you enjoy doing while not at work?

Traveling, trying new foods and relaxing with music.

When did you know you wanted to become an IBCLC?

After I saw a pediatrician (who is also a IBCLC) I worked with interact with mothers/parents.

Why did you become an IBCLC?

To further my knowledge and help others in their breastfeeding journey.

What do you wish you could tell every parent (that they would actually do) and why?

To know that breastfeeding is a journey and it's not always linear. Try to take a moment to enjoy the journey.
