My sweet husband, Michael, and our giant puppy, Midge.

RN

What state do you reside in?

Colorado

When did you know you wanted to become an IBCLC?

Within a year of being a NICU nurse. I found that first latch and the incredible gift of the ability to help a new parent with this was where my passion just exploded.

Why did you become an IBCLC?

To be there as an educational shoulder to lean on during some vulnerable periods in a family's life. Creating this community of support for all new families is my greatest passion.

What do you wish you could tell every parent (that they would actually do) and why?

Try not to take all advice given by fellow new parents. Each birth story, each feeding story, and each parenting story is going to look different. Don't let comparison be the thief of all the joy surrounding this time in life.
