I breastfed all three of my kiddos for about 3-4 years each. I really enjoyed breastfeeding and felt very blessed to have made it through all the challenges we had.
I love to be a part of something that is so empowering and helpful to families. Anything that will help parents have an easier transition into parenthood and reduce the struggle always gives me such joy.
I have helped mothers in the hospital and NICU primarily but also outpatient, private practice, and volunteer work as a La Leche League Leader.
My family is my husband Scott, our three kids - Cedric, Kellie and Blake - and our two dogs, a Pembroke Corgi and American Staffordshire Terrier.
Spending time with my family, gardening, and home projects.
I have a Bachelor's in Nursing
After having my first child, I worked with the best LC and knew then I wanted to be an IBCLC one day.
I loved breastfeeding my children and wanted other parents to experience the beauty of feeding their children in the most natural way. When my firstborn was one, I began the pathway to becoming an IBCLC.
You are the expert of your child and always listen to your heart. There is so much misinformation out there, so learn from reliable resources/books before you begin your journey. You will get lots of advice as soon as your belly begins to show, if you listen to your heart and know the facts, you will find it much easier to navigate all that is out there (and there is a lot!!). Peace and love to you all!
