What excites you most about being an IBCLC?

What excites me most about being an IBCLC is an opportunity to help families have happy and healthy lives through the best start: breastfeeding/chestfeeding.

In what types of settings have you supported patients in lactation?

Outpatient, hospital, community settings, non-profit organizations

What makes up your family (people & pets)?

My family includes my three grown children and two awesome grandchildren.

What do you enjoy doing while not at work?

I enjoy exercise, reading, time with friends, cooking, and traveling.

When did you know you wanted to become an IBCLC?

I knew I wanted to become an IBCLC since my internship.

Why did you become an IBCLC?

I became an IBCLC because of my belief that every baby should get breast milk and help families/communities achieve that.

What do you wish you could tell every parent (that they would actually do) and why?

Love and hold your children every day because they are little for a very short time
